ON-SITE NITROGEN SUPPLY

PSA nitrogen generation configured around your cutting demand

A complete or modular nitrogen supply for laser cutting plants that want to generate nitrogen on site and retain the equipment that already works.

COMPLETE SYSTEM PATH · COMPRESSED AIR TO HIGH-PRESSURE N₂
Complete PSA nitrogen generation process from compressed air to boosted nitrogen storage
ROLE IN THE GAS SYSTEM

An optional upstream nitrogen source—not a mandatory part of every project

Use the PSA system for pure nitrogen cutting, or as the upstream nitrogen source for one selected N₂/O₂ mixer. Plants with a suitable liquid, bulk or cylinder nitrogen supply can use that source instead.

CURRENTLY DOCUMENTED OPTIONS

Two reference configurations for project discussion

These are the two configurations supported by the current source documents. They are reference configurations, not a claim that every site will use the same package.

SYSTEM BOUNDARY

Specify the full line, then decide which modules are actually supplied

The engineering review starts with the complete gas path. The supply scope is then reduced or expanded according to the customer’s existing compressor, air treatment, tanks and booster.

01

Air compression

Screw compressor and air buffer capacity are checked against flow and duty cycle.

Can be retained when suitable.

02

Air purification

Drying and staged filtration protect the adsorption process and downstream gas quality.

Existing treatment must be assessed.

03

PSA generation

Twin-tower adsorption separates nitrogen from compressed air for the required process demand.

Core generation module.

04

Buffer and storage

Process and storage vessels stabilize supply around the selected operating profile.

Volume depends on the application.

05

Pressure boosting

A nitrogen booster raises pressure when the cutting process or downstream mixer requires it.

Optional when existing pressure is sufficient.

REFERENCE CASE · SINGLE LASER

On-site nitrogen concept for one 6 kW laser cutter

This documented layout is presented as a project reference—not as a fixed package for every 6 kW machine. The page shows only the values needed for an initial fit discussion.

Reference layout drawing for the 40 normal cubic metre per hour PSA nitrogen system
Reference footprint: approximately 10.17 × 1.60 m. Final footprint and module positions depend on the confirmed supply scope and site conditions.

CONFIGURATION INPUTS

What we need before selecting the system

Send operating conditions rather than choosing by flow alone. Final sizing depends on actual duty cycle, gas consumption, ambient conditions and the equipment retained on site.

  • Target nitrogen flow, purity and outlet pressure
  • Laser quantity, power, material range and daily operating hours
  • Existing compressor, dryer, filters, tanks and booster
  • Available installation space and utility conditions
  • Pure-nitrogen cutting or mixed-gas operating plan
PSA SELECTION QUESTIONS

Questions that change the system scope

Do we need to buy the full PSA system?

Not necessarily. Suitable compressors, air treatment equipment, tanks or boosters can remain in the project after their capacity and condition are reviewed.

Can the PSA system feed pure nitrogen cutting directly?

Yes, when the generated flow, purity and pressure match the cutting requirement. The same nitrogen source can also feed one selected mixed-gas controller when N₂/O₂ mixing is required.

Are 40 and 75 Nm³/h the only available capacities?

They are the two reference configurations supported by the current documents. Other requirements must be assessed rather than inferred from an unverified model range.
